Warrior Creek

Warrior Creek is approximately 3 miles long, originating in strip mines along Wilkes-Barre Mountain in the the Boroughs of Warrior Run and discharging into the North Branch of the Susquehanna River near Nanticoke. Mill Creek is located in the southeastern portion of Luzerne County and is contained within three (3) municipalities. The Mill Creek Watershed is comprised of one (2) individual subwatersheds including an unnamed tributary that comes in midway on the north side of the watershed. Almost 100% of the watershed is underlain by underground mines and a mine pool, to which it looses some surface flow. Not much more information is available for the watershed and some maps label it a “run” directly connected to the Susquehanna River.
