Kaitlyn White, \u00a0is an\u00a0\u00a018 year old Senior from Commonwealth Connections Academy, a public online school and our first virtual online student volunteer to work with EPCAMR, which is unique and just goes to show that volunteers can come from everywhere. She will be attending Marywood University in the Fall 2014. She’ll be pursuing a Business degree, however her main interests are definitely in the Arts. Over the last few years, she has developed a strong love for photography, and she absolutely loves taking pictures. In her spare time she likes to go out and practice taking photos in different landscapes. She also enjoys music and going to concerts, which is where she first found out how much she loved photography.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She found EPCAMR through our listing on the \u00a0VolunteerMatch website, when she saw a listing for my Executive Director’s Nature Photography Assistant. Immediately, it caught her eye and she sent an e-mail about it to EPCAMR, and learned more about the organization and she loves volunteering now! She has said with excitement, “I’ve helped design posters to draw more people in to volunteer with EPCAMR to support their outreach efforts in the community, and I’m eagerly awaiting the day I can go along on a cleanup and help out and take photos!\u00a0<\/span>I’m currently working on a few more posters to give me some more volunteering hours with Robert and EPCAMR.”<\/div>\n

She recently has come into the EPCAMR Office and migrated from a virtual volunteer to a Community Service Volunteer to perform more hours towards her graduation project. She stained up one of our blue bird boxes with our manganese oxide stain for a few hours and filled some of our future eco-ornaments with iron-oxide recycled paper products that we recycle 100% in our Office.<\/div>\n

Robert stated, “I hope that once Kaitlyn moves on to her Freshman year at Marywood University that she continues to volunteer with EPCAMR. We already have an existing relationship with their Art Department and Graphics Design Department, so I’m hoping she’ll continue on with the relationship she started with us as a volunteer several months ago. She has made some great posters for us and has given us as much time as she can and we are thankful! She’s a very nice \u00a0young lady who is very talented.”<\/div>\n
