Write your Federal Legislators…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please visit Democracy.io<\/a>\u00a0 to enter your home address to search for federal representatives and write to them all in one easy-to-use web form.\u00a0 Choose the topic for each representative to help get your question\/information to the right legislative aide.\u00a0 This helps to make sure you get a response.<\/p>\n

Find your Federal, State, and County Representatives…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please visit\u00a0CommonCause.org<\/a> which allows you to enter your home address and find representatives including state and county representatives.\u00a0 This site provides you with a phone number, website, and social media links or email if they are publicly available.<\/p>\n

Find Local or Municipal Representatives…<\/strong><\/p>\n

The best way to do this is probably to “google it<\/a>“. \u00a0Search for terms like “contact {insert your municipality and state here} council{man or woman}”.\u00a0 Sometimes local representatives will have a social media page.\u00a0 Your county’s Republican or Democratic committee will often have a social media page and may have websites or contact information for the local candidates.<\/p>\n

Interested in what role money plays in politics? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Go to FollowTheMoney.org<\/a>.\u00a0 Select the “My District” link. Follow the Money is a nonprofit non-partisan website, created by the\u00a0The National Institute on Money in State Politics, tracks political donations in all 50 states. Money plays a pivotal role in shaping public policy in each state and across the nation.
